I AM NERVOUS - WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

You are building a new relationship so expect some laughs, growth, and positive change in your life. Talk with your therapist about your goals and create a plan to reach them. Therapy works best when you show up and put in the work. Trust us, you can do it.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Most of our providers are “in-network” with insurance, which means we will submit a claim on your behalf and have your insurance company reimburse us for your services. You will be responsible for your co-pay, co-insurance, deductible, and/or services not covered by your insurance. You can view each therapist's profile to see which insurance they accept.

CAN I PAY OUT-OF-POCKET INSTEAD OF USING MY INSURANCE?

Yes, this happens all of the time. You will need to sign a waiver acknowledging that you do not wish to use your insurance and made the choice to pay out-of-pocket instead. You can change your mind at any time; however, we cannot “back bill”, meaning bill insurance for sessions where you opted to pay cash.

WILL I NEED A DIAGNOSIS IF I USE MY INSURANCE?

Yes, you will. Insurance companies reimburse based on “medical necessity”. Your therapist will complete an assessment at the beginning of treatment to determine if there is a diagnosis and review your treatment plan moving forward. If you do not meet the criteria for a diagnosis, you have the option to continue treatment as a self-pay/out-of-pocket client.

I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE. WHAT DO I DO?

To quickly cancel or reschedule your appointment, please text or email your therapist. You can also visit the Atlanta Therapy client portal.

WHERE WILL I GO FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

You can meet in-person or virtually, whichever makes you the most comfortable. For virtual appointments, you will receive a link no later than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment. If you do not receive a link, please notify your therapist immediately.

I NEED HELP WITH MY ACCOUNT BALANCE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You can pay your balance in the Atlanta Therapy client portal. You can also connect with our Billing Department at 470 757 3472 or via email to get your balance settled and/or questions answered.
